How to Use Product Catalog Mode in Dokan Kits

Product Catalog Mode is a premium Dokan Kits add-on setting that restricts vendors to selecting products from an admin-managed catalog.

This setting appears as its own subsection with a Premium Feature badge.

What Product Catalog Mode Does

When enabled:

  • Vendors use catalog products uploaded by admin/shop manager
  • Vendor product creation follows the catalog-based flow
  • You can control vendor edit permissions for price, inventory, and images

Requirements

Before setup, make sure:

  • Dokan Kits is installed and active
  • Dokan Kits Product Catalog Mode add-on is installed and active
  • Premium license is active (to show premium settings)

Exact Admin Navigation Path

Use this exact path in WordPress admin:

  1. Click Dokan Kits in the left menu.
  2. Click Features (page heading shows Manage Features).
  3. Open the Vendor tab.
  4. Scroll to/open the Product Catalog Mode subsection (shows Premium Feature badge).

Configure Product Catalog Mode

  1. Go to WP Admin -> Dokan Kits -> Features -> Vendor -> Product Catalog Mode.
  2. Toggle Enable Product Catalog Mode.
  3. Update any additional options you need.
  4. Click Save Changes.

  • Enable Product Catalog Mode – Master switch for catalog mode

After saving settings:

  • Log in as a vendor and click Add New Product
  • Confirm catalog grid behavior matches enabled settings
  • Verify edit permissions (price/inventory/images) follow the toggles
  • Verify vendor own product creation behavior matches Allow Vendor Own Product Creation

Troubleshooting

Product Catalog Mode Section Not Visible

  • Confirm the add-on plugin is active
  • Confirm premium license is active
  • Go to Dokan Kits -> Features -> Vendor (not Product tab)

Settings Saved but Vendor Flow Not Updated

  • Click Save Changes again and retest
  • Clear cache (plugin/server/CDN/browser)
  • Log out and log in as vendor

Wrong Tab Opened

  • The correct tab is Vendor
  • The section is Product Catalog Mode (with Premium Feature badge)
