How to Test Your Configuration
Use this quick validation checklist:
- Create or log in as a vendor test account
- Go to vendor dashboard and create a product
- Confirm only expected product types and fields are visible
- Place a test order from the storefront
- Verify checkout and cart behavior and shipping calculation
- For digital products, confirm auto-complete logic works as intended
Best Practices
- Enable only the modules you actively use
- Test changes on staging before applying to production
- Recheck vendor permissions after Dokan and WooCommerce updates
- Keep Dokan Kits, Dokan, and WooCommerce updated for compatibility
Troubleshooting
Settings Not Saving
- Update Dokan Kits to the latest version
- Clear any page, object, or browser cache
- Retry saving from wp-admin and confirm there are no plugin conflicts
Option Not Affecting Vendors
- Confirm you are testing with a vendor role, not an admin role
- Check whether Dokan Pro modules are overriding the same behavior
- Re-save Dokan Kits settings and retest with a clean browser session
Unexpected Field Visibility
- Review product restrictions in Dokan Kits
- Confirm product edit screen is from vendor dashboard, not wp-admin
- Check for theme or custom code overrides
Shipping Behavior Mismatch
- Validate WooCommerce shipping zones and methods first
- Then re-check Dokan Kits shipping related settings
- Run a test order with products from multiple vendors
